Story

The story in Air is about a girl named Misuzu Kamio. She lives with her mother in a house in a little town in Japan. The sad part is that she doesn't have any friends at all. One day it comes a young boy named Yukito Kunisaki that travels around Japan with a doll show to make money. The doll has been passed down from his mother to him, and his mother got it from her mother, and so it has been for many generations. Yukito's real goal is to find a girl with wings that lives in the sky. When he comes to the town where this anime takes place he meets Misuzu. She wants to become his friend, but he really don't want anything to do with her in the beginning. After some time he meets her mother. He becomes chocked when he finds out that Misuzu's mother drinks alcohol every evening and almost don't say a word to her daughter and never have done either.
   After some episodes you'll find out  the reason why Misuzu doesn't have any friends. And it's because she has a strange disease that doesn't allow her to make any new friends. As soon as she meet a new person and starts to make friends with him or her the disease does so she'll start crying and it also hurts her and making her sick if she doesn't stop to see the person she is to become friends with.
   The disease is actually a spell cast on the girl with wings that Yukito are searching for. This spell was cast for several hundred years ago. The strange part is that Misuzu has something connected to the girl with wings and because of that she has the spell cast on her too.

In the first episodes you are also going to meet other characters in the small town where Misuzu lives and experience their problems.
   I'm not going to tell anything more now because then you'll have nothing to see forward too.

I really recommend that you watch this beautiful and sad anime ^__^ (It's the second best anime I ever have seen)
